Help with Google Earth. Street view and sth. else?

So here's the thing, I installed Windows 7 and Google Earth so I'm looking for something that I can't find. Before this happened: when I get as close as possible in a street I click once more (just once not twice to get closer) and I get to see the street as if I'm walking on it, if I click further the yellow man will move fast and go down the street where I clicked at. Now all I can find is the street view which is boring because it takes me time to go from one image to other and I'm SURE before I didn't have to click on some sphere photos...just on th street. Any idea what I'm talking about and how to do it because I can't remember the exact thing and it doesn't work now.|||this should help you:)
